Vodou Lesson 6
Money magic
Money is something that most of us can never have enough of. For many, money is just like water. You cannot hold it in your hand. As fast as you get it, you must give it away just as fast - if not faster. Everyone can always use more money. As Haiti is not one of the wealthiest countries of the world, one can imagine that there are a vast number of works designed to achieve financial success.
Unlike some religions that teach that money is evil and undesirable, Vodou differs. Vodouisants know that money is necessary to live. Electricity, food, and other things needed to live don't just fall out of the sky and into your hands. You need money, as do the rest of us, to live and many times to get things flowing in your direction, or to accomplish projects.
In this lesson, you will learn how to compose a ben lajan, or money bath, to help attract money to you. You will also learn how to fix certain items that will assist you in bringing more money to your home and to your pocket.
You will also learn how to do a wanga in which you will call upon your Ancestors, the Saints, and the Lwa, and ask for their assistance in achieving financial success.
